The dark of December

Already the afternoons are getting lighter. Yesterday was the earliest sunset, now we go back the other way.

    I sit right here wherethe sun drops below the visible US horizon...and the change is not yet...soon though.

    December 8 is the earliest sunset, right? And the 21 the shortest day...
